The new day-long advanced workshop is for digital SLR users who already have a good grasp of the basics and want to further their knowledge about lighting, exposure, metering, flash techniques, composition and more. This workshop will provide plenty of tips and practical experience within a small group.

Morning session
We begin the morning session at Southbank and after a brief introduction make our way over the Victoria bridge to the CBD to begin taking photos with an emphasis on exposure and different metering techniques. Our walk will take us past many places of interest with lots of opportunities to take some great photos of the busy streets and varying architecture and places of interest that Brisbane has to offer.

Afternoon session
After lunch we continue our walk whilst discussing and trying out some new techniques with the second half of the afternoon talking us through the botanic gardens to capture some nature shots and creative night shots before finally crossing over the goodwill bridge and the chance to discuss the day at the Ship Inn, Southbank.

What should you bring
A digital SLR camera with a fully charged battery (and spare if you have one)
Lenses - we advise you to bring what lenses you have.
External flash (speed light) if you have one
Memory card with ample space for 100-200 images
Camera manual (for reference)
A tripod (we can supply one upon request)
